the need to DESERVE

There is a problem in france, and it is great enough to demotivate most to achieve their greatest potential. This problem is lack of reward for the efforts people put in. I see it everywhere; doctors at public hospitals work with disgust, because they're not getting paid as much as they deserve. sure, 15,000 a month is something, but compared to the american collegue, the french doctor is a popper! Another example, the french student. SO much work does he put in to his studies, and in the end he fails and has to repeat his first year of university studies again; a concrete example of this would be from the law students, and medicin students - ony 70-80% achieve success each year!

But this is the result of the social system. It has only proved it doesnt work anymore, causing france to have a great deficit in the healthcare system and allowing its systems to constantly be interupted by strikes. How is this country supposed to compete with the rest of the world? The only solution is to change things.

For one, make things more competitive - work with the merit system. YOU ONLY GET WHAT YOU DESERVE. it would be a first great compromise with the social system, the rights are only open to you if you give something back. It is commonly known that people take for granted what they have, and desire what they dont have just enough for them to work for it. If the citizen knows greater things await him if he puts in the effort, everyone will come out a winner. France's work force will be strong, solid and, bluntly put - will bitch a lot less. Doctors, well... let's say they begin at the bottom of the hospital chain and go up the professional ladder with every success... they get paid more with each upgrade and everyone's happy; the patient because he's being provided with quality health care. Universities! oh that is such a problem in france.

Most fresh high school graduates do not know what they want to do with their life, and all public universities accept EVERYONE. The good side is that the university is basicaly free - education is a right; something france can be highly regarded and admired for. The problem is that space and money is wasted on people that are unsure what they're studying for. Again with the law example, 70% students fail, of which 30% fail because they lose interest, 20% because aren't serious enough with their studies, and 10% because there's something wrong with their study method - but the will is there. A system should be devised to avoid having those first 60% be addmited to a university, saving money time and space, and increasing QUALITY in education. selection is necessary, and selection is promise of motivation to give the best one can!

Superman has the capacity to save the whole world and be at people's service at anytime. When he first goes to the fortress of solitude, his holographic father tells him... kalel don't go and help everyone all the time, they'll start relying on you too much and it wont be good for humanity's sake. It is the same with the french system, it is superman, and has forgotten that it must not try to please everyone, and so, it has made a spoiled nation that forgets what deserving is and settles for mediocrity. The solution then, is to change the french system so that the social rights are deserved, and thus people will be motivated to enhance their state. The lesson here is... do things for yourself, and don't let yourself be victimized. This is one (of the many) things wrong with france.
